Dr. Viliana Kossev completed her medical degree and internship at Higher Medical Institute in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She received her master’s degree in Gastrointestinal Physiology from Queen's University Department of Medicine and Physiology in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Jacobi and Montefiore Medical Centers, affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Before joining Sea Girt Medical Associates, Dr. Kossev was a part of Penn Primary Care, affiliated with University of Pennsylvania Hospital from 2000-2004, and part of Monmouth Medical Group in Red Bank, NJ from 2004-2009.In addition to English, Dr. Kossev speaks Russian, French, and Bulgarian.
