Personal Bio

My name is Melissa Girkesh and I have been part of the Atlantis Prep family since 2003. Previously, I taught second and fourth grade in our primary school and assisted in both Preschool Plus and Starters program throughout the years. I am currently the Enrichment Program Coordinator and Assistant Director at AP. During the summer months I am the Summer Camp Director of both Rookie Camps and Enrichment Camps. My son, now in Point Boro High School, attended school at Atlantis Prep from Starters through 1st Grade along with many years of summer camp. My daughter is now in 6th grade and also attended camp here every summer. I have Bachelors of Science in Sports Medicine from Towson University, a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Monmouth University, a Post-Graduate Supervisor’s Certificate from Georgian Court, and a second Master’s Degree in Administration and Leadership from Georgian Court University. I am also a Certified Lifeguard and currently guard for the swim team on weekends.
